Lobo Blanco, meaning "White Wolf," was a Jicarilla Apache chief known for his daring raids. In March 1854, he led a group of warriors in a raid on a horse herd near Fort Union. He was pursued by U.S. Dragoons and ultimately killed in a confrontation near the Canadian River.
