Lozen was Chiricahua, but like Gouyen, her legacy is revered among all Apache bands, including the Jicarilla. She was a warrior and spiritual leader. She fought alongside her brother Victorio and later Geronimo. She was known for her tactical insight and spiritual power to "see" enemy movements. Though not Jicarilla by strict tribal line, many Jicarilla elders respect her legacy.
