Nana was an elder but fierce Apache warrior and ally of Victorio. Nana was a war chief and military strategist. Nana was a respected elder and warrior even into his 80’s. He served as a sub-chief under leaders like Victorio and later Geronimo. After Victorio's death in 1880, Nana led a revenge campaign across New Mexico and Texas known as Nana's Raid (1881), despite being in his 80s.
